在網路上的每一台電腦都有一組稱為IP(Internet Protocol)的位址，例如211.72.211.7，但因不易記憶，所以網域名稱(Domain Name)以簡單的字串如twnic.net.tw來代表這一組IP位址。截至107年9月底止，「.tw/.台灣」網域名稱註冊總量已達4,808,255。

Every computer on the Internet has a unique Internet Protocol (IP) address, for example, the IP Address 211.72.211.7 is not easy to remember. The Domain Name System makes using the Internet easier by allowing a familiar string of letters like twnic.net.tw to be used instead of the IP address.

As of September 2018 a total of 4,808,255".tw/.台灣"domain names were registered (See Figure1).

網際網路通訊協定位址(Internet Protocol Address)是用來辨識網際網路上主機位置所在，以固定且唯一的一串數字位址分配予主機。台灣IP位址核發數量，在IPv4位址發放數量統計上，台灣居全球第15名; IPv6位址發放數量為全球第19名。

Internet Protocol Address is a numerical label assigned to each device participating in a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication.

The allocations of IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are shown in Figure 4 and Figure 5. In the global ranking of IPv4 and IPv6 allocations, Taiwan ranks the 15th and 19th respectively.

自治系統號碼(ASN)是一個提供自治系統(AS)間交換動態路由資訊的唯一識別碼，截至107年9月國內自治系統號碼核發數為353個。

Autonomous System Numbers (ASN) are unique identifiers for a collection of networks, or routers that share a common set of routing policies.

As of September 2018 the total number of AS Numbers was 353 (See Figure 6).

.tw WWW Server數量截至107年10月底共計有161,995台WWW Server。

By the end of October 2018 the number of .tw WWW Servers is 161,995(See Figure 7).

連線頻寬統計

「台灣網際網路連線頻寬調查」結果顯示，於107年10月公布之我國對外連線總頻寬達 2,352,583Mbps。

The Taiwan Internet Connection Bandwidth Survey shows that the total International Internet connection bandwidth reached 2,352,583Mbps by the end of September 2018.

國內各連線單位互連頻寬方面，於107年10月公布的相關數據呈現成長狀態，國內網路持續活躍。

Domestic Internet Connection Bandwidth among local ISPs shows steady growth, according to the survey's result in September 2018 (See Table 1).

TWNIC 106年7月台灣寬頻網路使用調查結果顯示：上網有1,879萬人，上網比例為80.0%；12歲以上曾經上網有1,760萬人。

The latest survey on Taiwan Broadband Internet Usage shows that there are 18.79 million Internet users in Taiwan, accounting for 80.0% of the total population. The number of Internet users aged 12 years old and above is 17.60 million. (See Figure 9 )

TWNIC 106年7月台灣寬頻網路使用調查結果顯示：12歲以上使用寬頻上網有1,757萬人，使用無線上網有1,639萬人，使用行動上網有1,502萬人

The latest survey on Taiwan Broadband Internet Usage shows that there are 17.57 million broadband Internet users aged 12 years old and above, 16.39 million wireless Internet users aged 12 years old and above, and 15.02 million mobile Internet users aged 12 years old and above.

在家戶數統計已上網家戶數達706萬戶;而寬頻上網之戶數共計703萬戶

In terms of households with Internet access, the total number is 7.06 million. Among them, 7.03 million households have broadband Internet access (See Figure 11).

國家通訊傳播委員會(NCC)以業者回報統計資料顯示(107年7月)行動通信用戶數達2,892萬戶

Statistics from the National Communications Commission (NCC) show that by the end of August 2018 the number of mobile subscribers is 28.92 million (See Figure 14).
